The Tarot Quest Website!
The tarot has fascinated people for centuries. Whilst their origins and purpose remain largely unknown, we do know they go back to at least the middle ages and probably before that. However, many questions remain unanswered such who created the cards, what they were created to represent and the meaning of the unique symbolism. Many people claim the cards provide power, guidance and give the reader access to secret knowledge. Others consider using them to be messing with dark forces. Whichever view you take it is interesting how a deck of cards can exercise so much influence over so many people's lives.

My Aims Today there are a vast number of decks available. Most follow the standard format comprising 22 major arcana cards, numbered from 0 to 21 and 56 minor arcana cards. The minor arcana resemble modern playing cards with the addition of a knight in each suit. In this site I have summarised my knowledge and experience from the last 20 years. I have prepared a range of articles including card meanings, tarot origins, links to other New Age disciplines and spread samples which can be used for readings. I will aim to keep the site updated with new articles and revisions. Please use the above menus to explore the site. |
Spiritual Journey
Our whole life is a quest and we never stop learning whether that is in our personal lives or in our careers. I decided to call this website Tarot Quest, as I have never stopped learning about the cards. I did an estimation not long ago and calculated that I have performed in excess of 2,000 readings over the last 20 years. From each one of these I have gained some new clue on a card or card combination. In short the quest for knowledge never ends!

Tarot Meanings The first thing to note about Tarot is there are no right or wrong answers. Each reader will have their own personal technique, beliefs and possibly their own spreads which they have derived from their own experiences and relationship with the cards. I do however believe that for me each card has a very defined meaning, based on it's symbolism and numeric value which is unique to that card. |
Articles In addition to the summary of card meanings I have included articles giving information about related subjects such as Tarot History, Reversed Cards and Tarot colours. Additionally, I have provided details of other New Age topics including Numerology, Alchemy and Astrology and I have attempted to explain how these have come to be integrated into the development of tarot. Finally, I have also attempted to answer one of the big questions, How Can Tarot Work?. My plan is to add to these articles to explore other related topics. |
